Hospitality Resources

Local lodging

Local lodging benefits VCU campus operations, secures institutional revenue, and directly impacts the recruitment of top-tier talent. Local hotels and lodging spaces act as an extension of the campus, providing a professional and hospitable landing pad for individuals driving the university's academic and financial growth.

Members of the VCU community may book traditional or alternative local lodging in the Richmond-metro area for business purposes. The Office of Procurement Services has established a number of agreements (MSAs) with several Richmond area hotels that make the process of booking and paying for lodging more seamless. In the absence of an MSA, Procurement recommends that our guests, travelers, alumni, staff and students secure lodging with one of these preferred hotels.

Catering

High-quality, organized food service elevates university events from standard meetings, conferences and special events into highly professional, collaborative experiences. Whether on campus or off campus, our catering partners support VCU's academic mission, foster large-scale donor stewardship, and more.

Members of the VCU Community may book catering services through a few avenues. In doing so, faculty, staff, meeting planners and event organizers are afforded streamline services, diverse menu selections, and other conveniences.

AV services

Audio/Visual (A/V) services support VCU's efforts to drive student enrollment, academic success, and institutional revenue. They transform a campus from static physical buildings into a highly competitive, globally accessible learning and research environment.

The University has established Master Services Agreements (MSAs) with selected Richmond-metro area providers for Audio/Visual (A/V) services. These agreements feature streamlined processes for booking equipment, technical crew, and event production support. Procurement Services recommends that members of the VCU Community secure A/V services using active MSAs that offer pre-negotiated hardware pricing, standard labor rates, and expedited contracting terms.

Venue space

Local venues and meeting spaces help VCU expand campus capacity, drive local economic partnerships, and elevate the institution's public profile. They allow a university to host large-scale events that its own campus infrastructure cannot physically or technically support.

The University has established Master Services Agreements (MSAs) with selected Richmond-metro area venues and meeting spaces. These agreements feature streamlined processes for booking and arranging event amenities. Members of the VCU Community booking business events under an active MSA will benefit from pre-negotiated pricing, service terms, and other service rates.
